Gearing up for another hurricane. Sure hope New Orleans doesn't get the brunt! Anyone else in the path on here?

" It's a little after 10 p.m. and we are going to go ahead and go since my mom and son have medical issues. What about you? Course may be a few weeks before I get back to this!! Be safe...the Lord be with you. "

" We stayed for hurricane Gustav. I am located 45 miles northwest of New Orleans. They call it, the northshore. Raining and wind picking up. I tank God that he chose to blow this storm to pieces so we would not get so much damage!! "

" The remnants of the hurricane are supposed to hang over us and dump a bit of rain. To my knowledge, our city is not accepting evacuees, because we could be in trouble with flooding. The churches are of course taking evacuees. Thank the Lord for private volunteers and charities. It is difficult, because I can't do much to prepare. I am having to stay with my parents while I recover from a surgery. They are busy cleaning gutters, clearing drains, and the like. I'm just sitting here on my duff. I hope and pray everyone is safe.

" Tornadoes are now here and keeping us on our toes. We are between Lafayette and Sunset and it seems to be a magnet for these aftermath storms

Be safe everyone! "

" Well...I'm home. We drove to Conway, Arkansas to evacuate...at first I thought that we had worse weather there (Tues-Thur) because of what I saw on the Weather Channel and what my family that was still in Gulfport told me. HOWEVER, my 22 year old son hit the beach with his camera and I figure the Weather Channel must have checked out early or something, cuz' the last report I got from them was that one lane of HWY 90 was underwater. Mike got picture sof people walking over knee deep on highway 90 and the roads were destroyed (again). Flooding on 65 through south Arkansas was unbelievable. Hope people don't forget about them. I hope every one is safe and suffered no losses. "

" didn't get but about 2". It stayed to our east. Good for us, bad for LA. I still haven't seen much about the flooding in Alexandria and north of there. "
