Hello everyone,

I just wanted to elaborate on treatment. I was diagnosed last year 2007, I've had narcolepsy my whole life. When first diagnosed all the doctor(s) wanted to do was push medication on me. I am not a believer in medication because it is one of those things that are man made, and frankly, they may say that they work, but they really dont. I took the provigil, and the Xyrem, I thought, cool, my brain will beable to sleep at night with this stuff. But I am not a believer of the pharmacuetical companies as it is. So I took them both. The provigil is like taking a really bad energy drink just waiting for the crash afterwards. The Xyrem, that stuff is bad, bad, bad. If you want to be a mean person, take this stuff because it works for that. It's terrible, I still have two full bottles of it, that will soon be poured down the drain.

My sugggestion is to forget the pharma drugs, and think about what your body needs in reference to vitamins. I take alot of vitamins, and eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and eliminated all processed foods. I dont need their Pharmaceutical drugs, nor will I ever take them again. I am stronger than Narcolepsy, it is not, and it will not beat me, or take me down. I have to much going on in my life for it to take over my life. If you let it take over your life it will, if you choose not to, it wont.

" This is a great idea, although I take vitamins and eat pretty good as it is and it hasn't helped. Different things work for different people, I think. Your experience with the different drugs is not the same for everyone and I'm glad you have found relief with your new method. "
