I came across this website that has a really comprehensive article about many aspects of narcolepsy, it describes physical and social aspects as well as describing fairly simply the sleep stages. I found it quite readable and could be used to explain narcolepsy to non-sufferers who need to understand the problems associated with narcolepsy. Hope you find it useful as I do.
