Alright me and my better half have been through a lot and by God's grace he still sticks by me. But the other day I was so tired I thought I would take a shower to wake up. Well you guessed it. I fell asleep in the shower darn near drowned myself. I gaged and spitted out so much water from my lungs I ended up getting sick and was so glad to be near the toilet. I leaked water for 24 hours. He bet me that no one else has ever fallen asleep in the shower. If there is anyone out there who has let me know I don't want to lose this bet.
If not let me know where is the funniest place you fell asleep, we all need a little humor here. I know of all of the scariest ones (We sure don't need to relive those ones). Posted on 10/28/09, 07:10 pm |

Thank God you woke up and are O.K. I get migraines and purposely lay on the floor while taking shower and have fallen asleep. Once I fell asleep in the bath/shower and as I started to sink down into the water breathing in the water a little woke me up right away. As far as funny places. Yes, I have a couple. I couldnt sleep one night so I went out in the front yard to smoke a cigerette and fell asleep on the porch and once I got up in the night to go to the bathroom and my dad woke me up. I was still on the tiolet snoring up a storm. I was there for a couple of hours I think. That was embarrassing!

I have fallen asleep sat on the terrace of a bar in Spain waiting to meet my cousin who was very late, with construction going on around me too.
Fallen asleep at parties/nightclubs. Fallen asleep when working in call centre, can't remember if or how i ended the call with the customer, just woke up to see lines of ssssss's across my screen where my finger was resting, should have been zzzzzzzzzzzz's really lol. Fallen asleep in cinema on first date with a guy quite a few years ago, cinema is just a complete no-no for me now. Fallen asleep in bath, my ex (who was still a friend) came round for dinner, but i hadn't had time for shower that morning (overslept of course!) so said i'm just going for quick bath. He came looking for me over an hour later, and got the shock of his life when he found me, he thought i'd drowned, for some time after that he told me to always phone him before i went in bath and when i got out. Fallen asleep just as train was pulling into my station, where my dad and brother were waiting to pick me up. Woke up as train was pulling out of station, didn't even know i'd been asleep, phoned my dad and said the train didn't stop, he said it did, it was stopped for 2-3 mins. I had to stay on for another 30 miles then get off, and run like hell with my luggage to other platform, down and up huge stairways, to only just catch the train going back to my station. The last few weeks I have been suffering really bad with EDS, been on long-term sick for 18 months, but rather than getting better i seem to be getting worse. Also i started on another med that causes 'urinary hesitancy' (what a ridiculous side-effect!) so often have to sit on toilet 5 mins waiting to pee, and at least 3 times in 3 weeks i have fallen asleep sat on toilet, been there for over an hour each time. Worst case of Automatic Behaviour - i was on holiday in Spain on my own and wanted to go visit the Mezquita in Cordoba. I didn't realise the bus ride was over 6 hours each way. I get the bus there, i find my way through the town, trying to ask the Spanish for directions and trying to understand the answers, find the Mezquita and walk around this big courtyard thinking there must be more to it than this, came back outside to look for another way in, got harrassed by some Spanish gypsies, next thing i knew i'd found my way back to bus station and travelled long 6-hour journey back to my hotel, most of which i slept, rang my aunt later that night to tell her i'd visited the Mezquita she said i must try and see, wasn't it beautiful she said, well i expected more than just a courtyard with a few trees i said. We realised because i'd got sidetracked by the gypsies, and i was so tired from the journey, i must have had an immense episode of automatic behaviour and completely forgot to go into the Mezquita, still lmao when i think of it, but have never been able to face the journey again.
