Hi my name is Darius and i was diagnosed in 2006. I was in the military and on my way to becoming an air traffic controller when i first displayed symptoms of MG. I was immediately discharged and sent home. I became very depressed and had anxiety problems and i became agoraphobic. Mestinon didnt work for me. My case is not as severe as others but it still affects my life. It went into remission for a little while, long enough for me to get my life back together. then it came back. i was in school and im not trying to fall back into the deep depression that feels so familiar. I joined so i could talk to people who know what im going through.

Hi. I am also military and upon dx I was placed on LOA pending termination. I fought it bc I really care about the cause and I was given an exception. Don't give up. I also fought my school... And won. I have done very aggressive txs- ivig, pheresis, etc but in the end I got what I wanted and worked for and believe in. Go fight for what you want. Really once I got up in the ranks people were very kind and reasonable... If you think you can do it, do it. While the pfts seem daunting with mg, I think it's great motivation to keep pushing... Hang in there, all things worthwhile are worth a fight and mean more as a result. If you want any specific info on the military aspect, send me a message.
