" Just FYI- and don't mean to worry you- my daughter, who has generalized MG, was recently diagnosed with normal tension glaucoma. Although all the "experts" have told us that there is no relation with the MG, recent studies have found some antibodies that seem to correlate with glaucoma (and my daughter is highly antibody positive for the MG). It might be worth a trip to the eye doctor if you haven't been in awhile. Thanks. Sarah "

" Ask for them to look at your optic nerves. My daughter just wanted new glasses (although she later admitted to some visual problems) so I took her to the eye dr. That doctor noticed that she had developed large "cups" around her optic nerves which, I guess, is a strong indicator for glaucoma. We, then, saw the glaucoma specialist (an M.D.) who did more extensive testing. I guess if the disease is present, it is not hard to detect. Let me know how it goes. Thanks. Sarah "

" I had some regular vision problems when my MG was bad. It gets bad later in the day because your eye muscles are tired. Is it possible for you to grab a 20 minute nap during lunch time? Naps were a life saver for me and my vision really improved afterward. "

" I don't know about blurry vision for sure but definately double vision is very normal for folks with MG. Maybe it seems blurry because the muscles have not quite weakened enough for it to go to double vision. Have you asked your Neurologist if you should take more mestinon? My husband takes it 4 times a day, 8am, noon, 5pm, and 9pm. Maybe you need another 60 mg in between the two you take now? I know sometimes if he can even just close his eyes and rest them for 5-10 min it can really help. "

" Mild double vision can look like blurry vision. If it is double vision it should improve by covering one eye. Either way the eye doc is a good idea. Also, keep your neuro posted. Hope this helps.
