I read this precaution for Zithromax (azithromycin) on the MedWatch (The FDA Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program) section of the FDA (fda.gov) web site:

" Exacerbations of symptoms of myasthenia gravis and new onset of myasthenia syndrome have been reported in patients receiving azithromycin therapy."

My first MG symptomes occurred July 2008 seven monthe after I took Zithromax.

Does anyone know any more information?
