Everyone plz pay attention to your meds and make sure you always have what you need. I accidentally ran out of my xanax, havent had any since Monday night and they won't refill it until I see the dr. (have an appt tomorrow, thank goodness). I feel like crap under a cracker. My MG symptoms are horrible. When I get to the dr. I am going to get her to wean me off this crap. I never want to fill like this again. I think I'd rather have the panic attacks. Has anyone been weaned off Xanax before? Can you plz let me know what it is like?
Thanks, Hugs everyone, Kim Posted on 07/05/12, 08:03 pm |

Hi Will,
Trust me you don't want it. It makes your MG symptoms 10x worse when you're not taking it. How are you doing? Hugs, Kim

You should check with your doctor for an alternate medication and eventually you can go to an " as needed" basis for the Xanax

Ask your doctor about lorazepam.
I take it, to help control cramp-fasciculation-syndrome. But its primary use - is as an anti-anxiety med. It comes in 0.5mg and 1.0mg dosages. Which makes it very handy, to tailor to individual programs. (I also take baclofen 10mg, to help control cramp-fasciculations.) I feel fortunate to have these meds available. For me? The cramp-fasciculation is at least as big a problem - as the MG. Thanks for the reminder, about watching our meds. I do a decent job, but run pretty close to the wire sometimes. Have you heard any of the horror stories - about mail-order? Whew. - Ross
