Ok so yesterday I was on my way to town to run some errands. I was almost to town when my arms and legs started to get tired and tingly. By the time I pulled over about 3 min later my legs where numb from toes to hips. I called my hubby to come get me and by the time he got there I could not move my legs at all. Very scary! Got home and called the nuero to see if it was a bad side effect of my new meds. He says no and to go to the ER. 10 hours later while at the ER my legs where slowly coming back to life. Went home with feet still completely numb. This morning my feet are still numb and my legs are so weak that I can hardly stand.
Anyone have any episodes like this before? Kinda freeking out a bit. Posted on 11/06/09, 11:11 am |

sorta. my left side is affected by a HUGE lesion in my right brain that can leave me with 25% use during attacks. yeah, its pretty terrifying!
i suggest you see your neuro and have a look at you latest MRI together. try to pinpoint the problem, just so you know... knowledge about YOUR PARTICULAR form of MS is key! im sure ALOT of us have felt similar feelings to what you are, but your disease is unique to you. it may seem a tad bit narcissistic, but you have to do research on yourself, for yourself... it took me almost 5 years to figure that out!

This hasn't really happened to me before, but I had a nurse from the MS society come to my house to talk to me a few months ago when I was diagnosed. She told me how one of her clients pushed herself beyond what her body was capable of one day and she went out to dinner that night. After dinner she wasn't able to get up and get out of the booth because her legs were numb. Within a couple of days she was back to normal.
Maybe you need to take it easy for a few days?

So sorry this happened to you. I would be scared too. I 've never had this happen to me but I do have CONSTANT issues with my legs, mostly Pain and muscle tightness, When they really begin to hurt worse and feel tingly i wonder if "this is it" will this happen, Its not yet but im mentally prepared (I guess) if it does. I agree with what one person said about over doing it, it definatley aggravates my legs and aI have times where i just didnt feel like i could get out of a chair, felt so weak. Check with your doctor it could be a relapse.
