I used to take low dose paxil for anxiety. Because i have crohn's disease, my body would let me know when I was too stressed by giving me horrible stomach pains, so horrible I couldn't stand up. The paxil worked, but I didn't like the idea of being on it and didn't like the doctors thinking that the pain was all in my head. It worked really well when I did take it. Since I got off of paxil I learned breathing techniques that helped me get past the pain and it really helps me keep my stress down.

None here. What works for me is to ALWAYS focus on the positive, and NEVER dwell on what might be.
Each of us are different. I arm myself with knowledge, then go LIVE my life. There's another person here at DS who says it well, attitude is everything.

I take Wellbutrin 150mg twice a day and have been for years. It really works for me and I could tell a difference when I stopped taking it for a while. I also take LDN, which also has calmed me down and I just feel more clear headed and more cognitively aware. I think is also helps me sleep better. Started taking 325mg of asprin per day because of the research on "sticky blood". Then my vit D level was tested and I was told to take 2000 units of D per day. I also take Baclofen and Zanaflex or Valium if needed for muscle spasms, but Baclofen seems to have really helped the spasms. I stopped taking Copaxone last June, after being on it for over 4 years. I was slowly progressing and have chosen to just take LDN, which is suppose to halt progression. So, there ya go! My medicine cabinet "in a nutshell"!!! LOL Or, some people refer to it as your "MS Cocktail"!!! LOL

I'm on 20mgs of Lexapro. I also take 1mg of Xanax XR twice a day. When I was diagnosed with MS I was having daily panic attacks, due to the stress of it all and the lesion in my brain that made me feel dizzy and off kilter all the time.
My Nuro said most MS patients struggle with depression and a smaller group have problems with anxiety. I’m in that group I guess. Get help as soon as you can, the sooner you get help, the sooner you can get “back to normal.” I don't plan to be on this stuff for the rest of my life but it has enabled me to keep working and have a social life. Every day a feel a bit better. Good Luck!

I currently take Prozac Weekly, but it's starting to lose it's effectiveness. Seeing a new neuro in a couple weeks, will discuss the situation with him. I seem to be entering into a phase of anxiety, so I'm thinking something different is needed.
