This is a really hard question. The problem is that there is not another person to put side to side and see what would have happened without the
Rebif, or yet another to see what would have happened with another drug. Because so much of MS is cumulative, it's hard to say what is just something that has slowly been worsening, and something that is new. I know that now my neuro is starting to suggest
Tysabri, and feels that it will be more effective, but I can't quite pin her down on if it would be a long term change, or if I would change and then go back. In any case, I have several years with
Rebif, and although I have had some issues during that time, I feel confident in sayig that whether it was the
Rebif or it was luck, I am not unhappy with the amount of progression, of course none would be better. I guess the answer that I see is that, for whatever reason, they want me to try something else because the last year has been a little rough. So I think that means she thinks that
Rebif is not as effective as it was. If that is due to anti-bodies, I'm not sure. But it is something I have considered.
