Hey all! Sorry to bug everyone, but I've been searching online and can't find anything to match what's going on. Since I started the Avonex I've noticed a not-unpleasant but certainly strange change in my body odor. It's almost like rubber cement. very chemical. I'm worried it's my liver malfunctioning, but I get blood tests regularly that say I'm normal. What's the deal? Does anyone else experience this? I've always had a nice flowery smell before this, so it's a distinct change. my usual deoderant doesn't cover it at all. No one else really notices it, but I certainly do. makes me worry...am I being paranoid? help!

" Some years ago I noticed that everything I ate tasted like salt. I did not have a body odor, but no matter what I ate, it was quite salty. Lost a few pounds, hated to eat, and glad it lasted just a week or so. I do not think you are being paranoid, yet you may want to consider a change in your ability to smell. Does anyone else notice the odor or is it just you? If others notice it, your body chemistry is probably reacting in some way. Only a physician can make this determination. Must be something that can be done. Or.... you could just tell people you started a new job at a construction site as the official rubber cement tester. (smile) "
