for the past 2 months ive been sitting in my house and my girlfriends house doing nothing but basically playing "why me?". its stupid and i hate it. these past 4 days ive been getting out and being basically active. tonight i even jogged a bit. ive decided that im not going to let a disease that i may or may not have defeat me before i even know stupid test results. ive even noticed that symptoms that ive have sort of go away after im done doing something active(minus the ON of course). i have a tattoo on each wrist, one says "INVICTUS" and the other says "MANEO". its latin and translates to I REMAIN UNCONQUERED. im going to live by that no matter what comes my way. i will keep everyone in the loop on my progress.

Now that is the right attitude! I was diagnosed over 6 years ago and spent the first years "self involved". Today I am stilll working, having fun, exercising 5 times a week and going strong, Feeling sorry for yourself is natural but is a waste of time. You can quit when you are dead. A positive attitude is the ultimate empowerment.

Oh, yes, early in my disease, I played this game. I had a big fight with God because I did most things right. I took care of my health (worked out, ate healthy foods, etc). I never smoked, took drugs, or participated in habits negative to my health. But then after some years, I thought "Why not you?" "It must be your turn, your number came up... good luck with the MS"... my sense of humor kicked in and has saved me from playing the game.

I don't know if it helps, but my saying has always been, even before I got my real DX, was "i might has MS, but it doesn't have me" and nor will it ever.
PS - I said this before I heard Montel Williams say it.

Here it is July 31st and I just read your entry. I've been pretty down the past 3 weeks because of 2 weeks straight of Migraines, 1 of my best friends died of a heart attack at 36 yrs old, and my MS started flaring up which resulted in a painful fall. But your comment about not feeling sorry for myself and to not let the MS conquer me has given me boost. Thank you so much!
