I Recently received some Proviil from my dr to help fight the fatique. It king of makes you feel like you have drank two or three espressos from starbucks! I will say that I didn't have to take my usual nap in the bathroom stall that day. Does anyone else take Provigil? or What do you take to stay awake?

" unfortunately, Provigil, nor anything else med wise has helped...I think the Provigil initially took the edge off so to speak....I've taken other stuff too with no success....My Dr. had me try Ritalin...was building up the dosage when I began getting soooo depressed and couldn't stop crying!!!it Was so horrible!!I was only at 1/4 dosage or so....took a while to feel normal again.....I have found that I must lay down...not sit, but lay down...I have leg issues so I need to get off of them and my feet...I need to close my eyes and simply rest.....If I do this, I can maintain....it is all trial and error...you'll find what works best for you take care!!! " I am also on Provigil for the fatigue. It works pretty well for my fatigue, but I shake all day from it and feel like I've drank 6 cups of coffee after I've taken it. I like that I have some energy, but hate the shakes from it. I need the energy, so I've just learned to live with it. "

" I have been on provigil for a few weeks now and my experience is that for the first part of the day I feel like I am wired. But come afternoon I crash so hard I can't move. I like the fact that I can get some things done, but I hate that I feel so wired while doing them and I really hate the crashing. "

" I tried provigil, but didn't really feel anything from it. Amantidine seems to help somewhat. I think the LDN gives me more energy. I haven't been taking it that long, though, so the jury's still out. "

" I TAKE PROVIGIL, AND SO FAR IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE DOING ANYTHING FOR ME. I WAS HOPING IT WOULD AT LEAST GIVE ME A BOOST FOR THE MID MORNING. NOPE. SO I AM STUCK BECAUSE MY DOCTOR FEELS THAT IT IS OKAY FOR ME NOT TO TAKE ANYTHING BECAUSE I DON'T WORK SO FATIGUE SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE (YEP I KNOW, TIME FOR A NEW DOC) LOL. "

" For those who responded and took provigil..... does it or did it give you any headaches? Also, I don't know if I have vertigo right now, or if it's the provigil!? "

" I had headaches the first week I took it. Advil seemed to work on the headaches for me. It also made me nauseous, but I've learned to eat something before I take it. "

" I take provigil. I think it helps, but I drink coffee too. My fatigue is bad. My dr. does separate my dosage and I take one in the afternoon to prevent that crash. It helps. "

" I just received my prescription for Provigil, and took my first dosage today, 200 mg. I felt completely wired all day, shaking, not speaking correcting, and having difficulty writing. I am just now at 6:00 p.m. feeling "normal". I called my doctor and he said to cut the dosage in 1/2. "
