Acid Reflux???

Just wondering...does ACID REFLUX fall under the category of "MS symptoms"?? I've had it off & on for the past several years, but it has been getting persistently worse & worse this past year, and has gone into a "furocious mode" just recently. And yes, I'm going to ask my Dr. about it on Monday, and my neuro about it the week after. Any thoughts/anyone that can relate???
Thanks in advance for your responses! ;)

" Have been dealing with Acid Reflux the last ten years. Related? My surgeon seems to think so. Same one that fixed me up in 97. Will ask him on Monday for you. Watch what you eat, drink!
Avoid doing so just before bed!
Sleep slightly at incline!
Avoid cold beverages! Right.
After eating avoid exercising!
Keep an eye on it though. You know where to find me!! "

" I'm not sure what Barrett's Disease is. I've also not heard of Aciphex...maybe I'll try it next. Nothing seems to work for me very long though. They all seem to lose their effect in about 4-6 weeks. Thanks!

" Barrett's esophagus is a condition in which the esophagus, the muscular tube that carries food and saliva from the mouth to the stomach, changes so that some of its lining is replaced by a type of tissue similar to that normally found in the intestine. This process is called intestinal metaplasia.

" AGree aciphex works wonders. If you don't get relief from reflux meds ask you gastro about the possiblity of gastroparesis, which is a slow emptying of the stomach and can be related to MS.
Good luck "
