Now that I have the MS 'under control,' I am once again concentrating on my diabetes. How many of you have two different diseases? or even three? How do you keep them balanced? This is what I am currently struggling with; I'm trying to keep my blood sugar maintained but also working on keeping the MS at bay. Plus, I've recently discovered that diabetes and MS share many of the same symptoms--so it is difficult to know what is caused from diabetes and what MS is causing. For example, for the past five days I've been annoyed with a fairly nasty headache in the left center of my head. Both diseases can create headaches, right? I know that blood sugar levels can help me figure this out, but half the time I forget where I've put my testing supplies (thank-you memory).

Anyway...does anyone else want to put in his/her two cents?

" I also have diabetes in addition to my MS (thanks steroid treatments) as well as heart and lung disease (thanks MS). After talking with my docs (all of them) they seem to agree, it doesn't matter what the root cause of them is, just need to make the headache go away. I've started taking Ultram and it is been a huge help.

Hope this helps, Good Luck, Rana "

" I also have Ulcerative Colitis(UC)...Inflammatory Bowel Disease(IBD). I have had that now for nearly five years. And your right...it's hard to tell what is causing WHAT. I had sooo many symptoms of MS these past few years, but blamed it on my UC. I get alot of headaches as well. I take Inderal to prevent migraines and Midrin when I get tension headaches,Imatrex when I get a migraine. I havent found anything to really help, although ice feels great!

Good luck:) "
