" Depression is depression whether it is MS related or not! You need to see your doctor and tell him/her about these thoughts and your situation. There is medicine and therapy to help. Please talk to someone and seek emotional support for yourself to deal with being a single mom. There are groups(community, hospital, church, temple) to help too. I was a single mom. If I made it you can too! But, you have to take the first step and ask for help because it is out there. Your kids need you! "

" Hugs to you Lori: Depression is disease caused by inflammation in the brain too. I think myself that most MSers also have the depression and need treat for that as well. It would be nice if there were something that would just cure EVERYTHING--one treatment. But no, we just have to treat each symptom as it comes up. You can feel much better with the right antidepressant. Good luck and stay strong. "

" I think it could be either one making you feel this way. Having a chronic illness can wear on you, but really I try and think of all the things to be thankful for. Is there anyone that you can lean on right now to help? Do you have family you could stay with temporarily till you are in a better place mentally and physically? I really feel for you I know how hard it must be to be a single mom and have to work full time. Have you thought about working from home? "

" It's depression caused by the thought of having ms and what's next. Live your life for today. We can't change tomorrow. What ever happens, happens. "

" I used to make sure I wouldn't loose my drivers licence in hopes of hitting that big tree. But a smart guy at the D.M.V. knew all about MS & they finally didn't pass me after I got away with it for years. I loved driving but now people drive me places. "
