" No I wouldn't know anything about it. Thats why I have so many pages book marked on it. I will on occasion, very occasionally just be direct and give myself a fleets enema. It helps during those times.

Here are some book marked site I have on the issue, see if you find anything in them to help.

" Welcome. You just joined yesterday. i'm concerned I sounded abrupt...but it is a subject no one likes to talk about...that's why I sounded so abrupt. I learned most from Dr. Orange post about different types of laxatives and it has helped me to switch to a different type of laxative. senna was new and has been very helpful. And bulk eating is not that great for medication induced constipation.

The article by the united spinal association was also most helpful. In it it said that constipation was the most the most common MS bowel problem. Bowel incontinence is usually caused by an impaction, then the BM seeps around the impaction and causes bowel incontinence.

I was having Bowel incontinence when I found that article. I never did have to tell the doc that I was, it was rather embarrassing.
that's when I started using fleets enemas, and I did not have bowel incontinence after that. So I think the article from the from the united spinal association, was right.

Still is an embarrassing subject to discuss, only on an MS message board. Good night. "

" being celiac as well, i usually have the opposite problem, but do take a med with a constipation side effect - not that i works on me... oh well. However, it is essential that you eat foods that are known to speed up transit time, and contain fiber that will help push and sweep out the system. BEANS. Beans. and then maybe some more beans. sweet corn. all fresh fruits and veg. anti-inflammatory foods help your bowel to contract appropriately and get the bm moving in the right direction rather than back and forth, causing a log jam... google a few things like anti-inflammatory foods and foods that speed transit time...
one of my fav's is hummus spread (any flavor) on rice crackers with grapes or raisins "
