MM plus amyloidosis

Anybody else here know anything about these 2 diseases? I was diagnosed with MM about 6 weeks ago. And last week, my hoarse voice lead them to test me for amyloidosis, which I have. All organs are fine but the proteins are congregating on my vocal cords. I'm on Revlimid which may stop or even eliminate these protein buildups.
Other than occasional light headedness from the Revlimid, I feel as healthy as I ever have, with the exception of a voice that scares little kids. Thanks

" well, I can plainly see how irritating it must be not to be able to communicate but Amyloidosis is associated with the MM. In my husband's case the proteins went to his kidneys. It has diminished significantly with Chemo and Dexamethasone. Hopefully the Revlimid can relieve this for you. And so close to Halloween, scaring the kids may not be so bad, lol. Best wishes, Sarah "

" Okay, I asked my husband's Oncologist about this and she said she's never seen a case like this. Not that it's impossible, just that she said it's very rare. Are they sure you have MM? "
