" Hi Shirland...It does seem normal. It is my father who has multiple myeloma...after radiation he went on the drug Thalidomide. It is to early to tell if this drug is helping. How are you holding up as a caregiver? I know it has been very difficult for my mother. What kind of surgery is your husband having? Keep strong! "

" Hi Shirland~~ If you contact the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) -- you can Google it -- and request the FREE information which they produce for all patients and carers they will send you a wide range of information which will explain exactly what your husband is facing and exactly what procedures will be done next. Their information is well written, easy to read, and very up to date on all the latest types of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments that are currently being used with myeloma patients today. Take the time to get this information sent to you, you will never regret it and it will certainly help you when you go to see your doctor. Best wishes, Cath "
