My friend was recently diagnosed with MM and just learned that she will be unable to return to work and will need a stemcell transplant. She is very depressed about the news and overwhelmed as well. She has no family in the area, but friends are stepping up to help as they can. Our hospital has no social worker and she will need to find a way to support herself. Social security?? She's only 60. The doctor also said that she feels Penny should be in assisted living. Penny doesn't have many resources and very little savings. How can I help her???

" Thanks for the encouragement. I believe in passing on kindnesses and I lost my daughter to Neuroblastoma and had so much help through it, I know how blessed I was. It seems like some are surrounded by love and support and others struggle so. Life's not fair, is it? I can't believe that Penny is the only person in this predicament and to me, it's a crying shame that anyone would face this alone.
Again, thanks for your reply!
Blessings to you! "

" check with the disablity. You can get it here within six months of starting the process for bone marrow transplant. Check it out on the computer. If she has worked all these years she should have the money paid in. BMT is one you get help with quickly. Just hae to have all the proper papers I beleive. "
