I recently visited with a new neuro who told me not to take Vitamin C because it builds up the immune system and that is bad for people with MS. I have read a few websites that are contrary to this, but am torn by distrust of internet information and distrust of neuros who know more about meds than nutrition (this is my 4th neuro and while I think he is the best so far, I am still hesistant to believe everything he says due to past experiences with dr's who know nothing but think they are gods). If anyone has thoughts on this subject, I would appreciate any leads on medicle articles I could read. Thanks all!

If you take it and your body does not need it, it will be eliminated in your urine. Be happy that you have a neuro who makes vitamin suggestions as they are few and far between. I also take vit C when I get a cold or feel one coming on... I think it helps...
The only other Vit I take is Vit D in 1000 iu which was recommended by my neuro as some studies suggest it helps with MS... Hey, I still jab myself everyday with Copaxone, but know that any extra vit. D will be eliminated anyway... It can't hurt, and I'd trust a real live neuro before the Internet any day (even the horrible ones I've had...)... Been doing this MS gig over 23 years now, and I say any port in a storm... xoxoxo Cj
