I started Rebif last week on Thursday when the nurse came to inject me. On Saturday I had some side effects but had more on Sunday like chillis and sweating and feeling like shit!!! I didn't take anything after the injection on Saturday is it normal to have symptoms a day later?

" I personally have lots of side effects to Rebif including chills, hot flashes and general aches and nausea like your average flu. My symptoms tend to last until the next shot so for me what you describe is normal. I know some lucky people who have no symptoms afterwards. But from what I can tell the Rebif helps and you learn to deal with feeling like you have the flu all the time. I know it doesn't sound great but it beats the MS progressing. I hope Rebif works for you. I also hope your body gets used to it and you can function through the side effects. Hope this helps. "

" Rebif has been my drug therapy for 2.5 years. The nurse recommended I take my shot at night, to have a better chance of sleeping through any side effects, and possibly take an ibuprofen or naproxen to deal with the potential fever or aches. In the beginning, I would wake up the next morning feeling as if I had too much to drink the night before -- a little achy, hot, dehydrated, and headachy. Now, however, I only have an occasional slight fever, and I might feel tired. I hope your body can adjust the way that mine has, and I hope Rebif works well for you! "
