I am on Copaxone. I haven't had any side effects besides the injection site itching for about 15 minutes. Just make sure you take out your shot at least 20 minutes before you want to take it.. I get my shot out every night when I am making dinner.
any questions just ask TTFN Dana

Do you get lumps at the injection sites or any problem with breathing/chest tightning right after?

Good luck punkyd05. I've been on copaxone for more than 6 years now and have no major side effects. Just the odd discomfort at injection sites.
I have never had any problems with breathing/chest tightning, not that it does not occur in some people. I have been known to get the odd lump but it does go away. I think copaxone is the most tolerable of the crab drugs. The only other one I was on is betaseron, there were too many side effects for me with that one.

I have been on copaxone since may 06...now I am pregnant but after the baby I will go back to copaxone which is the only drug I will take of the crab drugs.....I had only one experience with the breathing and shortness of breath....it lasted about 2 to 5 minutes and then everything was "normal" again....didn't like it ...neuro said it happens with copaxone and that's that.

Hi, I've been on CO since 2004. In the beginning, yes, I had shortness of breath, rapid breathing, very rarely tight chest.
That only lasted for about a week or 2. I also had the lumps and site itching but I don't have that anymore. All is good with the CO, for me anyway. I don't use the auto-inject, I self inject. I find it's easier. Valerie

Only side effect i have is a sting feeling after shot, Like i got stung by a bee first one will be the worst but you get use to it.i put ice pack on it seems to help a little.I do sometimes get a red spot around injection site but usually goes away. My injections sites usually hurt after for a couple of days, not that bad just like a little bruise. i take enough shots out of refrig. for a week, the nurse told me to do that.Coxpaxone is a good choice, i was on beta for a little while and hated it.Good luck, let me know how you do, or if you have any questions.

I have been on Copaxone for a little over a year now and other than a little "bee sting" at the ijection site have had no side effects. I was on Avonex and Rebif before I started on Copaxone. The side effects fron those was really bad. So, Copaxone is probably the most easily tolerated of the CRAB drugs in my opinion.

I can say the same -- I have been on Copaxone for only about 2 months and so far, the only side effects I have are injection site reactions. I think because I'm extremely fair skinned and new to the drug, my injection site reactions are pretty intense. Severe burning afterwards for about 20 minutes and extreme itching for about 5 days after. It's totally manageable though -- I was on Betaseron before this and I was having SUCH a hard time with depression, fatigue & permanent bruising from injection sites. Nothing like that with Copaxone.
