What words, or phrases really get on your nerves?
MINE ARE:
1. Underwhelmed (PLEASE,just use unimpressed, or disappointed, they are REAL WORDS!!)
2. basically (I guess it is the UM, for the new generation!)
3. "outside the box" It has been so overused that, excuse the pun, is no longer "outside the box".
4. actually SAYING "LOL" (in regular conversation, not as an abbreviation on the net.)
5. "cool beans" -I think it just makes one sound unintelligent. Merely a reply when someone really has no opinion, silence would be better.
6. "good deal" (same as cool beans)
*Just wondering if I'm just a picky bitch, or if you all have saying that get to you as well.

I hate the word "panties" it sounds so perverted. Grosses me out every time. JUST SAY UNDERWEAR! Or undies. "

" Improper use of the english language is unacceptable. It is my main pet peeve! Learn when to use there, their, and they're. Learn when to use to, too, and two. And for God's sake, please learn when to use your and you're! And stop confusing then with than. Also, stop "typiing liike dis". You should know better. And please do not use numbers as a substitute for letters, like this h0p3 instead of hope. It's not cute, and frankly it's annoying and confusing. There, glad I got that off my chest! "

" it really bugs me when the Media says "everybody" or "everyone" feels the same way about something.

ex. Well its nice and sunny today and everybody loves a sunny day...

well I do
but I am not everybody

all they would have to say is "most everybody"or "most everyone"

it just's bugs me "

" Okay...I can't stand when I tell someone something and they say "obviously". If it was so damn obvious I wouldn't have to tell them! "

" I truly despise people that end every comment with "you know what I mean?" My two co-workers I shared an office with for the last year did this non-stop most days...ah...unemployment is a nice break from the need to choke someone. "

" FLIBBIDYFLOO . YOUR COMMENT WAS HURTFUL TO ME. THAT I SHOULD OR ANYONE SHOULD KNOW BETTER . I AM NOT REALLY HURT I JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU A GLIMPSE INTO MY WORLD AND MY HANDICAP .AS I SAID I AM NOT REALLY HURT OR MAD . BUT I DO GET TICKED OFF THAT PEOPLE SEEM TO THINK THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE PERFECT AND KNOW BETTER, WHEN USING ENGLISH, WHEN IT IS ONE OF THE HARDEST TO LEARN AND IT HAS SO MAY WEIRD SPELLING ISSUES AND MULTIPLE DEFINITIONS AND SO FORTH.
I HAVE LIVED 64 YEARS WITH A DISABILITY THAT IS NOT VISIBLE UNLESS I WRITE OR TRY TO TYPE OR TRY TO READ.. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF SOMEONE BEING DYSLEXIC.. WELL, THAT IS ME . IF I DID NOT HAVE SPELL CHECK YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BEGIN TO READ WHAT I JUST TYPED HERE. I WOULD VERY OFTEN NOT SEE MY MISTAKES. SOME TIMES, NOT EVEN SPELL CHECK KNOWS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SPELL . ALSO, BECAUSE I NEVER TOOK TYPING I DO NOT TYPE WELL.. NOW THERE ARE WORDS THAT I DO WITH OUT A DOUBT, KNOW HOW TO SPELL BUT I DO NOT TYPE THEM CORRECTLY AND THEN I DO NOT SEE MY MISTAKE MOST OF THE TIMES. I HAVE LEARNED TO LIVE WITH MY DISABILITY BUT IT HARD TO LIVE WITH ALL THE SELF APPOINTED SPELLING POLICE AND ENGLISH POLICE WHO FOR SOME REASON POKE FUN AT US UNDERDOGS WHO HAVE GREAT PROBLEMS DEALING WITH OUR DISABILITIES THAT INCLUDE SPELLING AND USING THE THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. PLEASE DO NOT SAY LOOK IN THE DICTIONARY. IF I COULD READ THAT MIGHT HELP. IT DOESN'T DO MUCH GOOD TO POINT OUT MY MISTAKE BECAUSE THE NEXT TIME I WILL MAYBE MAKE THE SAME ONE OR MAKE IT A DIFFERNT MISSTATE ON THE SAME WORD. I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLOSE AND CLOTHES BUT WHEN I AM TYPING OR WRITING I WILL USE THE WRONG WORD AND NOT CATCH THE MISTAKE. ALMOST EVER TIME I TYPE THE WORD (WANT) I TYPE IT (WNAT) THE WORD (BECAUSE) ALWAYS COME OUT WITH OUT THE (S) WHEN I TYPE IT. SOMETIMES I PUT TOO MANY ( N )S IN MY NAME (ANN). IT IS NOT THAT I DO NOT KNOW BETTER . IT IS THAT I DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE MISTAKE.. MANY TIMES I HIT THE KEY NEXT TO THE LETTER I MEANT TO TYPE BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO BE AN OLYMPIC SPEED TYPIST. I FEEL I SPEAK ENGLISH AS WELL AS THE NEXT PERSON ON AVERAGE. I EVEN TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH . I JUST DO NOT SPELL IT WELL OR READ IT WELL .SO I DO NOT TEACH SPELLING OR READING . BUT I CAN SPEAK ENGLISH WELL.
BY THE WAY, I AM SORRY FOR TYPING ALL CAPS. I AM NOT YELLING . I AM JUST TALKING LOUD, AS MY HUSBNAD WOULD SAY . PLEASE FOREGIVE ME.
'
PLEASE NOTE THAT IT TOOK ME ONE HOUR TO TYPE THIS ENTRY BECAUSE I CAN'T SPELL WELL AND SPELL CHECK TAKES TIME. "
