I am a 36 yr divorced woman that is a daycare provider for my county and I am dealing with being in foreclosure. I am extremely stressed out because my bank or the servicing company for my bank called GRP Financial based out of White Plaines NY, they say the only thing they can offer me is a short sale because they don't do loan modification. I went through a divorce in 2007, so I lost income due to that, my daycare business is up and down due to the economy and people losing there jobs, I have filed bankruptcy 2x and because of my business being up and down I couldn't keep up with the 2500 a month bankruptcy payments which by the way is double what my mortgage is. I have a ARM mortgage that goes up every 6 months and I am at the point where I will be getting a sheriff's sale date any day now. I make decent money now but now my bank will not work with me, it is so offensive when they tell you the only thing you can do is sale the house. They even told me that If i list the house with a realtor they can offer me a forbearance for 3 months so i can find a place to move too but the house has to be listed first. I was so desperate I tried that and my realtor didn't understand how they could offer me a forbearance and a short sale at the same time. They wanted me to keep paying for the house in a forbearance but also have the house listed for sale. I am stressed out and at end of my rope. I have tried the home preservation non profit folks they cant help me and it just seems use less that anyone can help me because my bank or I should say there servicing company keeps telling them and anyone who tries to act on my behalf that they don't do loan modifications. Is there anyone else being faced with this that has some advice on what I can do?
