Hi

I had mono 3 years ago and never really got over it. Because my main symptom was nausea they didnt believe I had it till my blood test came back positive. Because of this I have never had time to rest and have been working through it. After 3 years I have the same symptoms again. right now my throat hurts so much I can't swallow, I am nauseous, I have pain in my stomach and neck and constantly tired and dizzy/light headed. Does anyone know if it is possible for the mono to return? The doc said there is no point doing the blood test again as the epstein barr will def still be in my blood but maybe I still suffer as never had time to recover?

oh and what makes me think even more that it is mono is I have suffered since October but got better over the christmas break as had two weeks off and just rested

" yes you can have mono more than once but your symptoms may not be as bad. I am now 58 and had mono when I was 19 and have had problems since I was in my 30's "
