Strange Patterns of Fatigue

Hey all. I was diagnosed with mono last Friday and have had it pretty easy. I had a sore throat for about three days and finally saw the doctor who promptly diagnosed me. I have been feeling pretty much fine, and don't seem to require much more sleep. However, about halfway through the day I tend to get a sort of "brain fog", lethargy and fatigue that sticks around for a couple hours. This actually seems to be getting worse, rather than better. Is this a normal thing to have happen? I realize it's only been a week, but with such few other symptoms it's hard to be in the "I'm sick" mindset so when the fatigue hits it's especially strange and disheartening - almost like being dx'ed every day.

" Got diagnosed yesterday although been feeling the symptoms for a few weeks now. For me, it's like you are describing exactly what i have been experiencing. Like clockwork around 3 or 4pm I get the same "brain fog", lethargy and fatigue that also sticks around for a couple hours. This has progressively gotten worse for me and i've been at this same level of fogginess for a while. Sometimes in the morning when i wake up it will be the same. For sure strange and disheartening. Hard to concentrate or motivate. I just seem to have to plow through it. "
