Mononucleosis Support Group

Hi! Since I had mono so long I have been diligent in building my immune system up. I take two supplements made by NatureSunshine recommended to me by and herbalist. They aren't cheap but when I started them I turned the corner and four months later the virus was gone. I still take the supplements but not in the same quantity I did when the virus was active. I walk every day and am trying to build up my stamina. I had mono for 1 1/2 yrs. WAY too long!

I had mono when I was 21 yo. I remember it took me a couple of months to feel close to well again.
In general I was OK until Jan 2004 when I tested posative to Barmah Forrest Virus. I now test posative to EBV every blood test. Its like this BFV has retrigered EBV. My glands are massive. I was Dx'd with CFS and Fibro in Nov 2004. Quality sleep, periods of low stress, good hydration and good nutrition are essential for optimal immune system function. I cant emphasise periods of low stress enough.

Mononucleosis in 1977 creates unnatural immune reaction to bad stress. Bad stress creates arthritic symptoms in hands and feet. Allegra will sometimes abate the arthritic feeling if stress not too bad. Continuous bad stress, arthritic symptoms, and coupled with a minor trivial injury to the elbow, hand, feet will cause swelling. Pill pushing doctor wants to treat it as gout. Swelling is also accompanied by splotchy red rash from head to toe. Doctor is stupid which adds to stress. Must find new doctor. Eating healthy, exercising, and minimizing stress not always possible but usually are good preventive measures.
