My neurologist performed several tests and has informed me I have Mito Disease. She hasnt expanded further on this for now - I see her again in a copule weeks - what further tests should I ask for to conform this is Mito disease and what kind and what I should DO? I live in Northern California - any Doctor appointment requires someone to take me so I need to really focus on what I need done and then how to get treatment

" I'm sorry about your diagnosis. I would suggest to visit the UMDF.org site. It has great resources. If you are really unsure about your method of testing, you can get a second opinion via an econsult from the Cleaveland Clinic from Dr. Bruce Cohen. It is not covered by insurance and is expensive, but he is one of the leading mito specialists in America. The link is http://www.eclevelandclinic.org/pr... There are SO many tests that could be run, so a mito/metabolic specialist know best on what tests to run. Good luck! "
