need to vent

I just got yet another phone call from my mother-in-law telling me about her health problems, this time a urinary tract infection. The day after my D&C (3 weeks ago), I talked to her briefly about how I was doing, and then she started going on and on about how she thought she felt a lump on her neck (turned out to be nothing). Then my sister-in-law (her daughter, and a college student) threw out her back. This resulted in me and my husband getting endless phone calls/e-mails about how her poor daughter was in so much pain, and could I please help? I ended up sitting with my sister-in-law in the ER for hours waiting for her to get an MRI. Not once during any of these conversations has my mother-in-law asked how I was doing or how I was coping with the recent loss of my baby. I am so frustrated, and my husband is too but will not say anything (his mother is the boss of everyone).

Ok, done venting, and I feel better already. Thanks for reading.

" I'm sorry for your loss and all that you are going through. It sounds like my own mother and mother in law in the same package. It's amazing how self absorbed and clueless some can be in some regards.

I'm sorry that they don't get it. People here do.

Take care. "
