I don't know where to start so I guess I should start from the begining for those of you who aren't familiar with my story.

It was 2 weeks ago today that my pregnancy went down hill...it started with spotting and then bleeding 2 days later (sat, oct 24) and then I passed some blood clots and a large piece of tissue. I had no cramping or bleeding afterwards, even still i don't. I went to the doctor that following tuesday (last week) to have him confirm that I did in fact have a miscarriage :( He said I passed just about everything but to come back this week just to be sure. All that was left was a black circle the size of a dime where my baby should have been and I just figured it was just shrinking back down. Well, today it was the size of a quarter (just estimates) and what looked like a baby at 5 weeks pregnant. I should have been 11 weeks this week. So my doc ordered me more blood tests and I have to go back on Monday. He said if my levels are still up than I am still prego but if not...well we all know what that means!

Is this crazy or what???? He said I could have had twins or two different pregnancies. Maybe the baby had died and my body never passed it and then I conceived again. Is this possible? I am soooooo confused, I did take a pregnancy test and it turned positive right away. I just can't believe this is happening, am I pregnant or not? Any advice or input would be much appreciated!

" I'm sorry you're gong through this.
A pregnancy test will often give a positive result for a week or two after a miscarriage as your HCG levels will still be high.
Once you've seen a heartbeat on the ultrasound, I'd definitely count that as being pregnant but I'd be afraid to get my hopes up until I'd seen that (but I am a bit of a pessimist) :(
Good luck with everything. "

" Thank you all for your replies. I don't think some of you understand...5 weeks ago I had an early us and the baby was 6 weeks with heartbeat but I had a miscarriage at almost 10 weeks. Now I am looking 5 weeks.....pregnant at the same time with two different pregnancies, not twins. it's just crazy to me,ill get my bloodwork back today. Then I'll know I guess. "

" OK so....I went to the doc Monday and he said my hcg level was low so that I "probably" wasn't pregnant and it could be just what left over from my miscarriage 2 weeks ago! He did not do another us which I thought was strange, so I asked him then what was that that wasn't there one week and is there now? He just said it could be a blood clot. But would it look like that? A black circle, like when your pregnant? If I'm not than I'll deal with it but I still haven't bled at all since my miscarriage. Is this normal? Shouldn't I have had and D & C to get the rest of whatever's left out? Thanks for input! "

" This sounds very unusual. I would insist on having another ultrasound to make sure everything is ok. Nothing should grow after you had a diagnosed miscarriage and an hcg which confirms no pregnancy. You may need a d&c. I would not let the doctor brush off your concerns!
