I was just at WebMD's website and I was looking for information on recurrent miscarriages. I clicked on a link to a video pertaining to an autoimmune disease called APS (I have no clue what the actual name is) but it is something that the doctors won't even check for UNTIL a miscarriage has happened. This lady had four miscarriages before she was finally tested and went on to a successful pregnancy. The video said APS is treatable and that it is a condition that causes the blood to over clot. I'm thinking very seriously of talking to my doctor about this!

APS is antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, which is an autoimmune blood clotting disorder that can be associated with recurrent miscarriages. It is not very common, so doctors usually do not look for this until after a few losses. It is treatable with blood thinners. Definitely worth talking to your doctor about if you have had a few pregnancy losses.
