Discussion:
How long until my HCG should be pretty close to 0?

I was 8 weeks when I miscarried and my HCG was somewhere around 7,000 (my doctor didn't give a specific number. Never does..) He said this week, a week after my mc that it was around 2,000. My morning sickness has gotten a lot worse and I'm ready to just stop feeling pregnant because it gives me false hope.. Anyone know how fast it falls? Or how long it should take to be at 0?

" I've had three losses. With the first loss it took my levels 7 weeks to drop and then I started my period a week later (so 8 weeks post D&C). I was 11w2d. With my second loss it took 6 weeks and I got my period a week later (so 7 weeks post D&C). I was 10w6d. With my most current loss (June 13th) I was 10w1d. I had my D&C 3 weeks ago today and as of Tuesday my levels were at a 50. Hope this helps and so sorry for your loss. "

" HCG should be out of your system withing 4-6 wks. I've had 6 losses and each one was different. With the last one I didn't pass part of the placenta. 14 weeks later, with unexplained continuing HCG, I ended up needing a D&C. After that tortuous experience, I would demand a sonohystagram if your HCG doesn't reach 0 within a normal time. I'm sorry you're going through this. The morning sickness will hopefully be gone long before your HCG is all the way gone. "
