My husband askes for pictures of our daily activities. He wants new pics of our cats all the time and of my daughter and my growing belly (Im preggers). You could send them on dvd or you could send actual pics with an album. A disk would be easier to bring home though. SO maybe a mix of the 2.

If you have kids home made cards and stuff is always good

ALso I get requests for the little things we take for granted like a new silky pillow case, or a huge pack of beef jerky, or his favorite snack. I think a warm snuggle blanket would be great especially if he has access to postal to mail it back home when its not practical any more or when he is getting ready to come home.

Maybe you could send him some comfort items like his favorite shampoo/body wash a new scrub puff/ even maybe a tough of his favorite cologne. Definantly something that is the scent of you. maybe that pillow case sprayed with your favorite smell and a little bottle to touch up as im sure it wont last long over seas lol. find out what books he would like and see if he wants new books for his down time, If he has a lap top ask him if he wants you to send him movies, I do net flix and used to be able to copy them and mail those... my software is out dated and dont know how to fix it so im down to the originals... OOORRR you could sing up for netflix have them sent to you and you mail them to him he watch them and mail them back... IF you watch them too you would have that to talk about as well....

I actually have Nextflix..he made me sign up for it and he has my password and email and he puts the movies he wants me to watch on there..he said hes wants me to watch his fav. movies so i know what hes talking about when he talks about them..and it will help me pass the time lol. i have sent him some movies so ill probably send him more!!

I would send my husband certain foods....Like all the Taco makings but the fresh items.

Keke: Here are some ideas I sent to my boyfriend when he was gone. I hope Matt is your boyfriend - if not, you could tweek it. haha

My favorite thing to do was a thing I called "Love Notes" I used an old shoe box and wrapped it in wrapping paper - I always used fun designs and wrote little notes like "I thought of you today and smiled" or "My days aren't the same without you" etc. I added pictures or memorabilia that we have. I put each "love note" in a separate envelope and then put all of them in the shoe box. After I filled all my envelopes I wrote a little letter saying whenever he needed a pick-me-up he could open an envelope.

My boyfriend really enjoyed that and I actually just made him another one like it. Only I sent it to him in the mail unmarked w/my address so when he opened it - it was a surprise. Also, sending it in a bigger manila envelope - it's smaller and easier to tote around.

Another little thing I did was send him a fortune cookie with my own fortune in it. I found the fortune cookie on www.findgift.com and they have SO much stuff on there. Excellent ideas for boyfriends. A lot of times I get on there to get ideas so I can make them myself.

Also, homemade CD's with songs that remind you of you two or songs about missing him. One song I absolutely love - and perfect for a deployment - is called "Wait" by Theory of a Deadman. It talks about patiently waiting for your love to come back home. It's perfect. I made my bf 3 CD's and typed out a list of all the songs in playing order and why I chose that song to put on the CD.

Afgan gets cold at night. Get the hand ans feet warmers. Like the heat pockets that last a couple hours. body pillow ( will throw it away before coming back so dont spend a bunch, also this is only if he has an actual bed not a cot.) is a good idea, just dont put any lame colors or anything, he probably rooms with another dude. Cookies. Does he have a camera, laptop,ipod and stuff already. Be careful sending porn. Some countries are dry meaning no alcohol, and no porn,Aka Saudi Arabia. If you do then put it on a thumb drive and encrypt it.
