I cant seem to shake this depressed feeling the last month or so.
I have been really sick and I quit my job bc I was stressed. My husband is deployed adn I have to ahve surgery adn might (probably) have this really awful and painful disease to which there is now cure. I have a hard time sleeping mist every night. i cant stop crying sometimes I cry for like two hours at night bc I miss him. I dont know what happened. He's been gone over threee months but I was fine...until this last month. I hate feeling this way...I cant make myself happy. i cant pull myself out of this funk Im seeing a counselor and in a lot of ways that has helped but lately Im SO DEPRESSED and it wont stop I feel awful bc he is deployed and when he calls he can tell and I am super moody and sensitve and I am trying but I cant change how I feel and its frusterating. I feel broken....I dont know what to do Posted on 07/19/09, 08:07 am |

I am sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time! I know its not easy dealing with deployments, and I bet its doubly difficult dealing with it and everything else that is on your plate. When do you go for the surgery? The uncertainty of having surgery and possibly having a disease may be whats causing a lot of the depression. The sooner you get them over, (maybe) the sooner you feel better because you know the answers. I realize I may be completely wrong, that's just how it looks for my point of view. I think seeing the couselor is a good idea. Have you tried writing at nights to help get all your thoughts out so you can (maybe) sleep better? Sometimes that helps me, so maybe it will help you. If you ever need to talk, I am here!

I think your right. I have surgery in 12 days and in a lot of ways I just want to get it done. I used to journal a lot, but sometimes lately...its just like this junk feeling I cant seem to put to words. I should really try to get back into that tho youre right. My husband today called and told me he thinks its because I dont have a routine bc I am not working, and told me about his first deployment and how depressed he was bc he didnt have one. He's being really patient, but I think he;s right....I dont have a routine, adn I get depressed bc I spend too much time laying in bed feeling icky and not enough forcing myself up and moving. I dont know....
