y name is Christy Daly and I am a Behavioral Therapist at the
Mea'Alofa Autism Support Center in Western Branch Chesapeake, VA. We are a non-profit organization that provides one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism. Currently our staff consists of two Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and three Behavioral Therapists, two of which possess Masters degrees and are currently pursuing their BCBA certifcation. Our office runs similarily to a doctor's office, in that our kiddos come in for two hour sessions at the same time on the same day each week. We work one-on-one with the child, teaching everything from social skills, to academics. We also have a social skills group that meets once a week and works like a mini-preschool. We teach and collect all data using discrete trial, so all therapy is well documented. I am actually writing because we have currently expanded and are now accepting new clients. This is very exciting because we originally had a wait list over a year long, but because of our recent expansion and Tricare's new Demo Project, we were able to take in multiple new clients and would love to find more to help. :) Tricare currently covers our services, but we still do provide services for those families not covered by Tricare and do have discounted options available.
