I have been using MSN to talk to my husband on our webcams from deployment but the picture was so tiny it was hardly worth it, I recently discovered Skype which is free like MSN but you can make the webcam picture take up your entire screen making it easier to talk and alot more fun :)

My H and I are avid fans of Skype. We've been using it to talk with each other since the start of his deployment. I even got to speak to him at every airport he stopped at. All you need is WiFi and you can connect and talk anywhere! My H has WiFi and cable internet connections, so we are good to go! :)It's been a life saver for us. Anyone who doesn't have Skype, should definitely get it!

I love Skype. I used to use Yahoo! messenger, but it would freeze up a lot. Skype is great. I not only used it a lot when DH was deployed, but also use it to talk to family in Canada and other parts of the US. It's free when you communicate from one computer to another, but it'll cost you if you want to use it to call a telephone number via your computer.

I just want to thank you for your recommendation! My hubby deploys next month and I have been terrified of what we're going to do/use in order to talk to eachother!
