I went to my regular dr on monday, the er the next day. dr gave me fioricet, er a shot of nubain and phenergan....no help.
next week went to ent dr on tues, got ct scan wed...this was last wed...still waiting on results...haven't been on here...too much pain...been in bed...love to all...and hugs :) Anna Posted on 09/28/07, 04:09 pm |

Ick, my thoughts are with you.
Maybe call your doc and see if the ER can give you something to abort your migraine rather than just manage it? IV DHE, IV Depakote... And you might try asking to be admitted for a round of DHE. Some people go for a three day course of 9 injections. It helps stop the cycle. ::big hugs::

A lot of the abortive meds don't work all the time, unfortunately. I had a friend who would use Migranal once and if it didn't work, she'd use it one more time. If it still didn't, she'd know she had to go to the hospital for the ER protocol of DHE, which solved the problem.

well, the headache came back sunday and still have it...ugh...and talked to ent dr today...sinus ct was negative...back to square one...now i'm really depressed :(

My case was alot like yours. It was a month before they started treating me with anything. Everyday I thought my head was going to explode. I had nothing but 800 mg ibuprofen. I finally got a little releaf from 2 Aleve, and 2 hrs later Exedrin Migrain. Now let me tell you, I was still in pain, but I was able to deal with it. Good luck
