I'm really trying to investigate and identify all of my food triggers. So far, processed meat is the worst culprit. What are yours?

" I'm losing my mind with food triggers! I gave up tonight and cooked for the kids and then finally made my dinner. I seem to be better off of: peanuts, gluten, citrus, MSG, processed meats, most dairy, and chocolate. I'm testing caffiene right now. ugh!

I always disliked processed meats and was surprised when I learned they were a trigger. Sometimes, your body knows way before you do!

It's nice, though, to know a trigger. :) I feel better knowing there's a strong reason for avoiding beautiful, gorgeous, delicious, sugary chocolate. "

" MSG...the worst thing in the world!!! The junk should be outlawed I tell ya.
Processed meats, I'm right there with ya gals.
I know many people say caffeine helps, but oh man it makes mine horrible! "

" I'm married with no kids, so if I have to make two meals, it's two whole meals. My Husband absolutely LOVES processed foods. Particularly Velveeta Shells n' Cheese and cold cuts.

I absolutely hate cold sandwiches, which given the circumstances, isn't a bad thing. My Mom was a horrible cook, and still is (sorry, Mom!). I ate a bologna sandwich on Wonder bread every day of my life for like 20 years.

I moved furniture to paint my guest room today, so by the time dinner rolled around, I gave up and made frozen pizza. I am totally paying for it. I've already taken two Maxalt and my headache is still lingering. At least it's not full blown anymore, but it still sucks.

Between the migraines and the tummy troubles, I think I'll have to live on brown rice. Boring! On the bright side, maybe my rear will get smaller. I can only hope. "

" I don't even remember all of mine, I just know it when I see it. I was visiting family this summer and I realized how much I do not eat because it can cause a migraine.

No lunchmeat unless it is the expensive kind
No MSG (incl. what is in Campbell's soups)
No food coloring (especially red, yellow and orange)
No sour cream (if it has locust bean gum)
For the most part, I don't eat anything processed at all.
No caffeine (and some decaf I can't have either)

I basically eat the same things over and over and cross my fingers when I have to eat out.

One thing I have to check out now is - I used to be able to eat Betty Crocker brownies (a tiny 1" x 1" piece) but not Ghirardelli. Now the Betty Crocker is suspect. "

" I forgot to add artificial sweeteners. I do decorative paint, and one day I was working on this lady's house and I got thirsty. All she had was diet soda. I ended up with a searing, eyeball exploder. Next time I'll just die of thirst. "
