hello, wondering if anyone here gets migraines around their period (I'm sure there will be many of you) and if you know of any natural things I can take to help with my migraines that may have helped you.

Yes, I get a breakthrough before my period, I am headachie, more than ususal DURING my period, and I get my worst breakthrough every month right as my period is over.
I have personally given up on "natural" stuff. I mean, I DO watch my triggers, and I DO use Rosemary Oil sometimes, and even rescue remedy, but I HAVE TO take prescription drugs, there is no way to get around that. I found NOTHING "natural" that even touched my pain by itself. (Unless I could have gotten "natural" opium, but I think going the prescription route is reallly better.) I hope you feel better.

I agree with PGell. There is nothing natural, that I am aware of, that will help a migraine. I have to use rescue meds when I feel one is coming on and sometimes I don't catch them in time. There are certain meds just for menstral migraines. You can check into one of them, that I am aware of. It is Frova. But, it does not work for me. Sorry you are in pain! nsm

During my period I use benedryl, it releases the inflamation in the head and use ibprofin. I also like using Headon, I think it works wonders!
