I was in to see my neurologist today. He always gives me freebies. Today I got 6 Frova and 2 Maxalt.

I am just curious - does everyone's doctor give lots of freebies? If so, how many? (he did write down in my chart what he gave me).

" My doctor has never given me any migraine freebies (though my sister-in-law has once because she's a pharmacist).
My doctor gave me some Prilocet(sp?) once because I was having bad acid reflex and I barely had enough money to come see him. It helped and I haven't needed it since.

I haven't got a lot of freebies though. I'd rather not take medicine unless I have to, lol. "

" I've had Lyrican and Topomax for free from my doctor. Good thing, also, because I couldn't take either one, and it would have been very expensive to find out after paying for them.

My doctor does tend to save "new" meds he wants to try for me, with free samples, because he knows I am sensitive to many medications. The only thing is. I most likely need a new opiate, and there are no free samples for controlled subs. *sigh* "

" I wanted to say "LYRICA." I have no idea why I wrote it wrong.

Why is there not a edit function? "

" My neurologist and pain md give me samples all the time. Everyone is different, but Frova is usually related to Menstral migraines. Maxalt didn't work for me, but like I said we are all different. Relpax is another med that is a migraine rescue med. "

" My Dr knows my budget is tight. He always gives me samples. I'll even call and ask for them--he'll pull some and leave it at reception. He's even apologized for not having my particular meds in. "
