I have some odd symptoms that I wonder if this is a migrain or a tension headache? I was told that my pain was chronic migraines but I'm not sure. Bulging left eye, double vision, extreme memory loss, pressure behind eyes and ears, sensitivity to light and sound, pain in top of head, and the smell of chlorine randomly, sometimes even the smell wakes me up in the night.

" Who told you that was typical of chronic migraines? I know some of these can be typical of migraine, but some don't sound so typical. The recurrence only on one side sounds particularly concerning. I would see a neurologist for a thorough diagnosis to rule out other possibilities. If a neurologist told you this, then get a second opinion from another one. Not to alarm you, but the alternatives are nothing to fool around with. "

" You need to have an MRI, CT scan, and an LP. Find a doc who will order those tests. Worst case scenario is you could have something really wrong like and AVM or a tumor. Slightly better case but still concerning is you could have increased intracranial pressure - this is also not something to mess with because it can cause blindness if untreated. That's why you need to be seen. If your current doc is brushing you off, get a new one please, for your sake. "

" I strongly feel this is urgent, by the way. You really don't want to mess with the chance of losing your vision permanently, or worse. Please get help ASAP. "
