I haven't used it, but I think it's a triptan, the same as maxalt, frova, imitrex, zomig etc. Sometimes different people get different help from different ones of these.

I'm so glad you finally found relief.

I used relpax and still use it once I get migraine. It does help! The only side effect I get is insomnia. Somehow it just keeps me awake. Besides that it is good.

Glad to hear that you have found a med that is helpful for you. I have tried it and the side effects was too bad for me to stay on it. Good luck.

I use Relpax as well. I have been on it for about a year and a half now. The only downfall to this...make sure that you take the medication on the onset of you migraine...or it will not work if you wait toooo long. I have had that happen to me. Some nausea if I have not eaten is the only side effect that I have ever experienced. It is amazing....I was thrilled when I started using it as well. I also take Topamax as a maintainence medication at bedtime...which has reduced the amount of migraines that I used to get.....good luck!!!

I take either Maxalt or Axert. Haven't tried Relpax. What are the side effects? I get good results with Maxalt as long as I take it as soon as it starts. I think that's the problem with all of us...trying to decide if THIS time it's going to be a migraine or not. Pam
