" I take Zomig, a triptan, for migraine pain. I have been prescribed narcotic pain relievers before, but they only worked short term and the pain usually came back in a few hours. "

" i have been on so many pills and I am sick of them. I keep pushing for natural and alternative. Currently doing/using:

1.STOPPAIN spray ( drug store)
2. Massage -professionally
3. Hot baths/showers/footbath
4. I bought this 80 dollar powerful massager at Sharper Image. I actually use it on my head and face. I have REALLLLLY bad TMJ and face pain. Crunchy knots. It helps to alleviate but tickles!
HOPE SOME OF THESE WORK FOR YA! P.S. Buy some "Batherapy" its green and smells like pine. You bathe in it. I know dudes arent much for baths, but try it ! :) "

" Currently, Methadone for long-term pain relief.

Previously, oxycodone...but I had to pick two days a week, which wasn't working for trying to live at all. "

" Topamax, but it's not really doing a whole lot. I don't like this one because it is creating neuropathy in my hands and feet. I've tried Imitrex and Maxalt (both screwed with my heart so I had to stop those). "

" Yeah i have used a few of those both and they seemed to work for a bit. I only try to use the strong stuff when i really need it. Been using it on and off for so long (April 04)they bumped me to Oxycontin from the Percocet(because it was taking almost 4 for anything to happen) "

" I take Imitrex 100mg tablets and the shot for faster relief at work. They are the only triptans that work for me.

Narcotic pain relievers do nothing for me. I took 3 Oxycontin once, and all it made me want to do was vacuum the floor. I have the same reaction to sleep aids like Ambien, Lunesta, etc.

I hope you find something that helps you. "

" Yeah i use ti be able to go in and get a shot when i really really needed it, but when i was stationed in Germany this place does not really like doing that and i am also getting tired about people lecturing me that the brain does not feel pain and i should not need pain meds. they don't understand that i suffer from miagraines and a brain tumor. Got to love it, but thanks everyone. "
