My neurologically impaired memory won't let me remember who it was that I spoke with that I spoke with regarding not being able to find Midrin.
Here's the deal... Midrin is still being made. However, the generics were discontinued because they didn't follow the right FDA process. Because of this, Midrin can't keep up the demand. So they have been on permanent backorder. This should be resolved shortly. In the meantime, ask if they have another generic they can order called Epidrine (Excellium Pharmaceuticals NDC #64125-0101-01). Hey honey, I foundo ut the hard way about the midrin...there is a problem with it so try to move to something else.i take something else now..firocet?? I think but they have me on diladid. Im scared and don'r don;t what to do from here..

Midrin is shipping out orders every two weeks, as they come in. So if you try and keep checking, you might have some luck.
Especially if that is what worked for you in the past.

It stopped working so I am down to 1 more medicine that I can take..my eyes hurt to move them. Mike gets mad becauseI can't g backto work. I am on STD for now

Ask your doctor about trying intranasal lidocaine. This wouldn't fall under something you couldn't take.
There have been some studies showing that it can abort headaches. Not just cover them up, but abort them. There was evidence suggesting that it might help prevent future migraines. (not used daily) I'll post the link so you can print them out and bring them to your doctor. http://findarticles.com/p/articles... While the 4% lidocaine nasal drops were used in the study, you might benefit more from the 8% intranasal lidocaine spray - which is used for trigeminal neuralgia. Easier to administer. You might want to try both.

Isometh/APAP/Dichlor capsules, made by Interpharm is now available as a generic alternative. Even my doctor didn't know about it, but my friend's husband is a pharmacist, he recommended it and my doc called it in exactly as written above and I'm picking it up tonight! Meanwhile, I have 120 useless Fiorcet pills to get rid of. Didn't work AT ALL.
