I keep getting this horrible pain in my back, neck and sometimes in my toes and joints and I could crack every part of my body 10 + times and still be in pain I also get these server migraines for the whole weekend usually this all happens once a month and no its not when I PMS, its right after I PMS. I just don't get it, I have an appt in Jan with dr but I just don't understand why it hurts so much and why nothing helps much except to smoke some of my Rx stuff, and lately its been so bad I almost puke all the time when this happens and I am not an easy one to get that sick, even with the worst pain ever I can NOT puke, but its getting so bad now I almost do. Any advice I will greatly appreciate and try, I also take IB for pain and Tylenol but nothing from either. I have tried Starbucks coffee, reg coffee, soda...... all sorts of caffeine related things even drinking water but still now 2 whole days and nights still in pain. I also took a nap and it made me feel worse.

Cliffenstein, I have a long thin neck and I also have two fractured vertebrae in my middle back, so my neurologist thought some of my migraine issues might be postural. She referred me to a PT who is doing massage and stretching on my shoulders, neck and head.
I've never had PT on those areas, so I don't know if this is typical or not, but so far it's made a definite difference. After three sessions, I was migraine-free for a month and a half. We were on vacation part of that time and now the migraines are returning, so I'm going back to PT. I'll report back. The methods she uses involve me lying on my back and her using her body weight and strength to stretch and elongate my neck (as if it isn't long enough)from side to side and upward. It's quite an amazing stretch. She also does something with the vertebrae in that area. Plus, she uses heat and massage and finishes with ice.
