Even now, vanco doesn't always work too well for me. I've literally have gotten off vanco, and/or the PICC line and had new outbreaks in3-4 days. What kind of test tells me the strain of mrsa. Do I need to ask Doc to run a special test? I've never really known what type I've had. Though I suspect Hospital Acquired, since I got my first wound 3 days after being treated at Hospital for pneumonia. Doctors have also told me I may have different strains at different times. Ross
