As I understand it, in some cases, early HIV infections produce MRSA infections. Have all of youi suffering from MRSA, been tested for HIV/AIDS? I had about every blood test but that one for my CA-MRSA last year. We are living in very horrorfying times.

Hi all, new here...
I have had HIV for 10 years. Never had any secondary, oportunistic infection till now. 2 years ago I had a nasty large boil on my neck with had brown fluid leak out of it. I didn't think to much about that instance. My wife drained it with a hot needle and lots...I mean lots of neosporin and gauze. I never told the doctors since I thought it was an infected hair follicle on my neck. Whats funny is that from around that time forward, if I exercised then my sweat glands would burn and I'd feel overheated all the time. Doctors said it was my imagination or that it was some new allergen in my home. Fast forward 2 years...Oct 15th I stopped taking my HIV meds thinking its the meds that are causing this overheating, sweating, painful burning nausea blackouts. I also start a round of Prednisone for a herniated disk. I then start taking Augmentin for a UTI, which then turns into Prostatitis with some Fluoroquinolone which ruptures my Achilles tendons. Then on Halloween I goto the ER for the worst abdominal pain I've ever had. The hospital admitted me and gave me IV something or rather-cillin. Which I swore was making mew feel worse, but the nurses just act like I'm insane after that. I have to injest PEG-3500 for a colonoscopy which gives me a bright red rash all over my body. They didn't find anything in the Sigmoid and sent me home with Percocet and I had to do a self massage at the Iliac region and felt better the next day. It wasn't constipation since I had no food in me for 3 days. I assume it was a n abdominal stricture. Still covered in a weird full body itchy rash I research some and discover all about MRSA... I goto my infectious disease doctor and request the nasal swap test with comes back positive. That was 5 days ago.... I have been using the sticky bactroban ointment up my nose which i think is for topical skin use only?!?! My greatest fear is that my 1 year old daughter is going to contract this and keep giving it back to me. The full body rash feels like stinging nettles and sleeping under blankets definitely makes the rash worse. It appears upon close examination that evey hair follicle on my body has a faint very very small raised waxy looking bump associated with it and if i trace my finger over my body I instantly have a red streak wherever my fingernail drew. These red streaks almost start to bleed and don't fade for several hours. Has anyone else had these symptoms? I think I'm having something else in addition to the MRSA and folliculitis thats on the backs of my legs and buttocks. No boils yet, but I sense they are forming since I can feel areas of hardness under the worst of the follicle bumps. I hope I am not dying...I'm gonna be so pissed.

Yikes. It sounds like you are having a histamine reaction - either to one of the medications you just had recently, or something else. Is it possible that ceasing your HIV medications has a rebound effect? I get similar reactions to vitamin C, I am very sensitive to it, and if I take too much my whole body feels as if it is moments away from swelling up, even though I look normal. Maybe you would be a good candidate for taking colloidal silver internally, it will help dampen an overactive histamine reaction, as well as possibly calming any internal bacteria or viruses. I imagine you are dealing with a variety of doctors and medications, not all of them will know all the interactions between drugs, that may be the root of your current predicament.... Lots of luck.
