I have been CA-MRSA free for about ayear now (Nov. 2008 was my last positive diagnosis), my last symptoms were last summer....of 2008. I was wondering, if any of you who have beaten MRSA, have had continued health issues? I have experienced: jock itch, folticulitus, yeast infections, and most recently, I was diagnosed with Psoriasis. My personal hypothesis, is that the overuse of antibotics such as bactrim, in addition to havign had MRSA, weakened my immune system, leavign me open to these myriad of skin dissorders. Have any of you experienced similar skin effects? Any input would be very helpfull to me. Thank you.

Yes, yes, and yes. My husband has not had a boil since last April. He took a round of Zyvox in June or July because of the skin problems. Now he gets skin problems but has stayed off the Zyvox to see if any boils will materialize. So far, so good. I really think the MRSA has fizzled out for good. I hope. Funny thing is I finally quit getting sores in my mouth too. I really wonder if that wasn't MRSA also.
